Hull York ranked 3rd in the UK for Medicine in the Guardian University Guide 2026

Hull York Medical School has been ranked 3rd in the UK for Medicine as part of the Guardian University Guide 2026.

This remarkable achievement places the School amongst the very best medical institutions in the country and reflects its commitment to delivering exceptional medical education and a high-quality student experience.

The Guardian University Guide is published annually and provides both institution and subject level rankings. Hull York Medical School’s rise in the medicine subject ranking highlights the School’s outstanding performance across key indicators such as teaching satisfaction, teaching quality and graduate outcomes.

The Guardian ranking follows the recent National Student Survey (NSS) results in which student feedback placed the School ahead of the sector across all survey themes from teaching to academic support and wellbeing services.
